All things paper

Among all the scrapbooking papers that I have, the ones that I usually used are craft papers, doilies and pattern papers with newspaper or book prints........Look what I have found recently?

The tapes are craft paper tapes from Classiky. The sizes and prices are 15mm (S$5.5) and 30mm (S$6.8).  You can draw or stamp images on the tape and you can tear it, use fancy scissors or normal scissors to cut them out. The adhesive at the back is like normal stamp that you need to use water to glue them down. It's also very good for wrapping things like a stack of paper or drawings, etc.

The doilies are in royal crown shape  (sizes 9.8cm and 12.9cm) and heart shape (9cm). As for their quality, they are slightly thicker than those from SKP and Phoon Huat in Singapore. They are S$4 for 40 pcs and you can choose up to 2 design.

L1) Royal Crown doilies (size 9.8cm)

L2) Royal Crown doilies (size 12.9cm)

L3) Heart doilies (size 9.8cm)

The papers on the bottom are wax paper. They are S$5 for 15 pcs.
Here are the close up.

W1) Newspaper in brown font (size 21.8cm x 25cm)

W2) Newspaper in white font (size 21.8cm x 25cm)

W3) Paris map (size 21.8cm x 25cm)

You can use these wax paper to wrap gift, make pockets/envelopes for your scrapbooking projects and you can use it as a pattern paper for layering.....and of course for wrapping sandwiches, cookies, sweets, etc..........
My friend Pooi Pooi has already used it in her projects for layering.

What's more??!!! You can get the wax paper and doilies in a bundle set at S$8. You will get 15 pcs of wax paper (5 pcs for each design) and 30 pcs of doilies (10 pcs for each design).

If you are interested, please drop me a mail at lesunshinecraft@gmail.com.

More Scrapbooking projects

***Project 002***

I love basic grey and I was eyeing on this konichiwa collection since they published in CHA winter show. This is a mini mini notebook for my friend Pooi Pooi.

Isn't it "Kawaii''!!!(Haha, the hello kitty in the background really matched with the mini notebook too)

***Project 003***

I think most of the scrappers know and love Elizabeth Kartchner (Dear Lizzy). She is amazing, I love her collections, her creations, photos, ideas.... in short...she is my scrapbooking idol!!! Her Neapolitan collection was available in local scrapbooking stores a few weeks ago. I was so excited and eager to buy her whole collection that I even wait for the shop to open. Haha, am I crazy or not?!
So far, I have made 2 projects from this collection and another one is work in progress.

I made this for my friend Linda. Her lovely doggie LV just had her birthday 3 weeks ago and she had a grand celebration with LV. *o*

***Project 004***

February was my birthday month. I am very lucky that I had a few rounds of celebration with my family and friends in both Hong Kong and Singapore since January. My friends in Singapore (Pooi Pooi, Linda and Garfield) brought me to GRAZE at Martin Road No. 38 for dinner. The ambiance, decor and food were all very nice and delicious. They are so sweet that they even bought me a cake from FLOR Patisserie....the cake was so yummy that I can't forget the taste and wanted to buy whenever I walked pass the shop in Taka basement. Sooooo.....touching.....Thank you my dear friends.
On my birthday, my boyfriend took half day leave and brought me to Goodwood park Hotel for afternoon tea buffet. I've never tried their afternoon tea buffet before. They serve both western and asian style food. They also have durian roll cake as dessert and my bf said it's really really solid and yummy.

I made the following banner for my IPAD 2. It's a surprise birthday gift from my boyfriend. I put this banner above the coffee table where I usually place the IPAD.  ^o^

P.S. I used the light peach Seam Bindings for this banner.

My Scrapbooking projects

I have never published my scrapbooking projects before...all due to laziness....
So now, my blog is up and running, I don't have anymore excuse not to publish... However, the next question is..... what to publish first.....
I guess I will start from my latest....

***Project 001***

This is a travel journal using Basic Grey Plumeria collection. I made this for my friend Eva who likes "purple''.

This is a 9.5 x 6"stitch book journal with 10 pages inside. I kept it as simple and flat as possible so that it wouldn't take up too much luggage space and easier to carry around. Here are the materials I used:
1) Basic Grey Plumeria 12x12 papers and stickers
3) Kraft paper and card stock
4) Doily papers from local bakery shop
5) Seam binding --> This is the most popular and best selling items in my blog
6) Martha stewart, fiskars and EK success punches
7) Martha Stewart Circle cutter
8) Slice die cut machine
9) Stamps ++++
10) Masking tapes from the Japan Brand "Mark's'' and Korea Brand "Daily Like".

A few snapshot of the inside pages:

I use tracing paper and masking tapse to make a folder.

The MS Punch is so pretty and matched with the sticker.

I used MS circle cutter to cut out a 5 1/2'' circle and sew together with other papers.

Another pocket for maps, leaflets, tickets +++

Japanese Masking Tapes

Masking tape is one of my favourite shopping items these days. Do you remember what is your first roll(s), when and where you got them from? I got my first few roll of masking tapes from Loft at Shibuya, Tokyo in Apr 2010. I used them to wrap presents, stick posters or notes on the wall and label note books. It's only in 2011 that I started to use them in my scrapbooking projects and since then, I can't stop loving them and buying new ones. My favourite brands are MT, Marks, Colte and Classiky. I find that MT has the best quality as they are sticky and yet very forgiving.

Other than Japan, countries like Korea and China are also making masking tapes. I bought a few from Korea and their designs are pretty but the stickiness depends on the weather and temperature. I find that they are less sticky when I used in Korea as it was cold and dry. However, they turns out ok when I used them in Singapore. As for those that are made in China and sold in Japan like the "fun tape",  I have only tried them in Singapore and their stickiness is acceptable. However, I don't like the glossy look and crispy tearing cut as I find it more difficult to blend into my scrapbooking projects.  I guess the reason why they have a more crispy cut is that may be they were not using 和紙 (Rice paper) or for sure different paper and rubber formula.

If you are also a masking tape lover, I have some for you to buy:

MT1) Set of 4 from MT and Classiky --> S$16 (SOLD OUT)

MT2) Set of 4 from MT --> S$16 (SOLD OUT)

MT3) Set of 3 from MT and Classiky--> S$12

MT4) Set of 3from Colte--> S$13.5

MT5) Set of 3 from Colte--> S$13.5

MT6) Set of 3 from Colte--> S$13.5

MT7) Set of 3 from Colte--> S$13.5

MT8) Set of 3 from Colte--> S$13.5 (SOLD OUT)

Please email me if you would like to purchase any of the above.
